The First Preview of my Book on Sex Work Psychology!
Everybody always wanted me to write a book about my experiences in the industry - but I don’t think anyone saw this coming. Let’s take a look!
I was established during the foundational Backpage/board era and survived the digital migration to a post-COVID society where sex workers are everywhere, but safe nowhere. This book is a deep field study of the psychological fracture between "polite society" and the shadow economy, analyzing the fucked-up way people treat people the exact second they perceive them as a "whore" versus a "regular person."
Through sharp, pun-driven wit and unfiltered truth, my book introduces a rigorous behavioral analysis that has never existed before. The manuscript maps the derivative, warped socialization of the modern client, contrasting their normal public lives with their shadow-world archetypes. From the hyper-entitled digital consumer to the volatile post-pandemic punter, I break down the specific psychological triggers that cause seemingly empathetic citizens to abandon their ethics in the dark.
I am writing this book under my industry name, Heather MF Riley, because she earned it. For 15 years, I have done the fieldwork, survived the industry’s massive technological shifts, and built an unmatched, proprietary dataset from thousands of real-world interactions. I am an independent researcher and behavioral taxonomist bringing data, structural analysis, and dark humor to a world the public only views through stigma or fantasy.
